Curriculum
Our curriculum and learning experiences are shaped to support children’s wellbeing, belonging, communication, exploration and growing confidence.
A warm, safe and inspiring place where children can learn, explore, build confidence and thrive every day.
At EdenCubs, our centre is guided by New Zealand’s centre-based Early Childhood Education licensing criteria, covering key areas such as curriculum, premises and facilities, health and safety, governance, management and administration. These standards support the way we operate each day and help us provide a safe, caring and well-managed learning environment for children.
Our curriculum and learning experiences are shaped to support children’s wellbeing, belonging, communication, exploration and growing confidence.
Our indoor and outdoor spaces are managed to support safe, comfortable and meaningful learning, play and rest throughout the day.
Daily routines, supervision and safety practices support children’s health, wellbeing and comfort in our learning environment.
Responsible governance, clear management and organised administration support consistent and professional centre operations.
Our long-term vision is to grow EdenCubs into one of New Zealand’s trusted and respected early learning providers, while continuing to protect the warmth, care and strong community connection that families value today.
Our centre environment has been established for over 10 years. With no recent major renovation, our indoor spaces are not affected by fresh paint, new flooring or strong renovation odours — helping children play, learn and rest in comfort.
A settled environment helps reduce concerns about strong smells from new paint, flooring or major interior works.
Children can spend their day in a calm, familiar and comfortable space for learning, play and rest.
We value children’s health, comfort and wellbeing in every part of the indoor environment.
Every child deserves to feel known, safe and connected. Our small-group care and family partnership approach helps children build security, confidence and friendships, while keeping families closely involved.
Each small group is supported by a familiar key teacher who notices children’s routines, emotions, friendships and growth.
We value every family’s voice and use open communication and feedback to keep strengthening the connection between home and centre.
Our approach supports every child’s emotional, physical and social wellbeing in a calm, natural and joyful learning environment.
Our caring and experienced teachers nurture your child with love every day through warm relationships and responsive care.
Engaging indoor and outdoor activities, along with a nutritious natural diet, support healthy growth and wellbeing.
From sand and water play to science experiments, nature observation and story time, EdenCubs brings joy to children every day. These joyful experiences also help children build confidence, friendships, curiosity and a lasting love of learning.
Our teachers are safety checked. Many are experienced, qualified ECE teachers and hold first aid certificates. We support children’s wellbeing from learning to rest.
We respect and embrace children from diverse cultural backgrounds, creating a rich, inclusive and welcoming learning environment.
I just want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you. I’m so glad we discovered EdenCubs. The whole team has been a godsend during a time of adjustment for the family and I love the relationships that our daughter has developed with the team members. One of our fondest family memories is in the middle of traveling to see our family, we had to stop to do a “Chelsea silly dance”. I wish I caught it on camera but then I wouldn’t have been able to fully enjoy the moment that helped release the stress of airports!
